According to Sun News,there was pandemonium at the North Bank area of Makurdi, Benue State capital yesterday, after a young man was electrocuted while trying to cut off electricity supply from a metre in a burning house. The incident occurred at about 8a.m. at a residential building on  No 23, Kainji Street, following a mysterious fire outbreak that engulfed the 10- room apartment. It was gathered that the victim, who was said to be in his early twenties, met his death while trying to disconnect electricity from a metre in the compound to prevent it from being destroyed by the inferno that had already engulfed one of the rooms. A tenant in the building, Miss Mercy Obuchi, told newsmen that she was in her room when she suddenly noticed a spark of electricity near the apartment of her co-tenant that fateful day. According to Daily Sun,no fewer than 20 people were feared dead while others sustained injuries in an inferno involving a fuel-laden truck at Bode-Saadu, headquarters of Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday night. The fire also destroyed houses, shops and cows worth millions of naira. Although Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mary Wakawa said only four people died during the accident while four others were seriously injured, residents of the area who spoke with Daily Sun on phone stated that the casualty figure  was not certain, adding that although the accurate number would only be known after the inferno had subsided, about 20 persons may have died. According to Punch News,a  National Youth Service Corps member, Helen Bando, has been  jailed for one year for attempting to travel to Indian with fake documents. Convicted and sentenced alongside Helen and equally jailed for one year each are Samuel Obiakor and Segun Alimi, who aided and abetted the first convict in commiting the crime. Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye, while handing down the sentence on Monday, said the convicts deserved their punishment notwithstanding their plea bargain because such cases were becoming rampant. The judge noted that it was the likes of the convicts, who usually brings the name of the nation into disrepute and destroy the chances of other Nigerians with legitimate intentions to travel out. The convicts were arraigned on one count bordering on use of forged documents in processing Indian visa. Simeon Tenebe who serves as a barman at a hotel in Ojodu was stabbed with a bottle by an angry customer.The customer stabbed him because he was looking at his girlfriend who was in his company...They came to the hotel to have a drink. ‎ Punch News reports it below: ‎Kelvin Friday and his girlfriend, were hanging out in the hotel around 6pm on October 21, when it happened. The victim, claimed he was thinking about something he had discussed with his sister earlier in the day when the customer came up to him, saying that he was rudely starring at them and smashed his head with the bottle of beer he was drinking... The customer, Kelvin initially complained of Simeon's customer service when they first stepped into the hotel. Kelvin later then complained Simeon was rudely starring and challenged him to fight at which point he attacked with a bottle.His girlfriend fled the scene when Simeon started bleeding. A dead body was found in the house of pastor Solomon Bida 2 days ago at Malali Village in Kaduna LGA‎ S‎ peaking with The Daily Trust about the incident, the pastor narrated that he discovered dumped body early morning in an uncompleted part of his compound. First he thought the man was asleep. “I thought it was a man sleeping due to darkness. But that notwithstanding, I raised alarm to attract other neighbours around. My son with my wife joined me.
