Residents panic as over 30 bombs get dumped in Adamawa.

There is a hovering feeling of fear in Gombi, Adamawa State, because of the presence of over 30 bombs that were dumped in the area by the Nigerian Air Force. It is believed that the bombs which were dumped there three days ago had expired and are inactive, however, residents are apprehensive about its presence in their town. The area was initially surrounded by soldiers and vigilante members out of fear that the insurgents could take control and ownership of the bombs bbut they later pull out of the area after being informed that the bombs were inactive. However, indigenes of the community are not totally convinced that the bombs have expired, with many nursing the fear that they may go off any time. How Benue Commissioner Died, Day After Presenting Budget.

The Benue State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mr. Aondowase Chia, has passed away. Chia died at the age of 46, in the early hours of Wednesday, March 4, Punch reports. On getting to his office, he could not stand from his chair and was rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi where he died. He is believed to have died of stroke. Chia is survived by his wife and eight children. He is the second commissioner in the ministry to die in office under the administration of Governor Gabriel Suswam. Atorto Girgi, an indigene of Ushongo Local Government Area of the state, as the ministry’s commissioner, died in active service over three years ago. Prof. Saint Gbilekaa, Chief of Staff to the Governor, who led members of the state executive council on a sympathy visit to the family of the deceased in Makurdi, described the death as sad and very unfortunate.   Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday played a football match against the Ogun State Executive Team led by the governor, Ibikunle Amosun, to usher in 78th birthday celebration today. The match was part of the programmes outlined to celebrate the former president all through the week. Interestingly, the only two goals scored by his team were scored by the former president. Nadia Buari is engaged to the father of her twins not Jim Iyke..huh???

Following the announcement of Ghanaian actress’ Nadia Buari’s twin babies, the question on everyone’s lips has been “who is the baby’s father?”   Details of the new dad are still sketchy but actor Jim Iyke who has been romantically linked to the actress is not the father of the twins. Vanessa Gyan, who hosts the Late Nite Celebrity Show on e.TV, hours ago confirmed that Jim Iyke is not the father of Nadia’s twins as Nadia is currently engaged to the father of her twins. WAHALA !!!-Woman arrested after trying to sell PVCs in Kaduna.

A woman in her mid-40s was on Tuesday arrested by men of the  Nigeria Police Force while attempting to sell Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). She was arrested following an alarm raised by the women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of the Kabala ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The women leader of the ward Hajiya Hajara Mairiga told the police that the suspect, whose name could not be ascertained as at press time, came to her house Monday and told her that she has her PVC and some other people’s own for sale. Surprised by the disclosure, the woman leader raised the alarm and the attention of the police at the Kabala Costain was called to the matter and the suspected was arrested. The case was thereafter transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police force where the suspect was detained for further investigation. Operatives of the Edo State Police Command on Tuesday shot and killed two suspected armed robbers who allegedly stole N954,000 church offering. The suspected robbers were said to have robbed the offering money from St James’ Cathedral Bishops’ Court, Igarra, Akoko-Edo local government area of Edo state, were reportedly shot dead by the police while trying to escape interrogation. The third suspect who was the informant that led to the robbery is currently being detained in police custody for further interrogation. Sources had it that the suspect (name withheld), is a close confidant of the Bishop Court and has been adopted like a son by the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Jolly Oyekpen and his family. Pregnant Woman Pours Hot Water On Neigbour In Enugu.

A pregnant woman in Enugu has done the unthinkable to her neighbour for peeping on her while she was having her bath. Vanguard reports that the pregnant woman, Mrs Mercy Chintua, who stays at Akwuke, Awkunanaw axis of Enugu State, reportedly poured hot water on Emmanuel Anyebe, for allegedly spying on her while she was having her bath on February 23. Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu said:  “Mercy poured hot water on the victim as he was going to bath. She alleged that the victim was peeping into the bathroom while having her bath. “The hot water inflicted serious body burns on the victim. Boko Haram beheads two men in new video.

A video purporting to show the executions of two alleged spies was on Monday released by the Boko Haram Islamic sect. One of the men was made to make a full confession, explaining his ‘crimes’ to the camera, before the pair were beheaded and their bodies shown to the camera. The gruesome execution video echoes those posted by Islamic State and is the second released by Boko Haram. The video, called ‘Harvest of Spies’, was posted on Monday on Twitter by Boko Ha ram, Mail On line quoted the SITE intelligence group as saying on Monday. It started by showing a man kneeling in the foreground with a group of Boko Haram fighters approaching him holding a flag used by militant Islamist group. In a theatrical display previously seen in the execution videos released by ISIS, the men lined up behind the victim. A midday bomb blast in one of the busiest boulevards in Cairo’s business district has wounded nine people, according to police. Shortly after Monday’s explosion, a little-known group claimed responsibility for the attack. The bomb was hidden under a car parked near the High Court – the country’s highest criminal court – and went off in Cairo’s Ramses neighbourhood. The area is very crowded, with dozens of street vendors selling their ware on stalls set up on the asphalt. Nearby are several bus stops, a railway station and a subway station. Many Nigeriens drown in Lake Chad as Boko Haram attacks island

an island  on the Niger side of Lake Chad, with locals reporting heavy casualties among those who fled but no  official  confirmation of the death toll. A private  radio station  in Niger said that two people died in a fire in the remote village on Sunday evening but one survivor spoken to by AFP said the death toll was higher. “A lot of people jumped into the lake to escape  the attack . I think that a lot of people drowned, in particular women and children,” said one man, who escaped with his family in a boat. Abubakar Gamandi, the head of the fishermen’s union in Borno state, northeast Nigeria, said he received phone calls from members telling him about the attack, which happened on Sunday. “No one knows how many people died in the attack but many residents fell in the lake and are believed to have drowned,” he said. Jonathan Offers Automatic Employment To 164 Presidential Award Winning NYSC Members

One hundred and sixty four winners of the 2012, 2013 and 2014 batches of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Presidential award were Monday morning offered automatic employment by President Goodluck Jonathan. In a ceremony to confer the award on the winners, President Jonathan also announced automatic scholarship for any of the 164 award winners that wish to further his or her education. A total of N23.5 million cash was also raised for nine corp members who sustained various degrees of injuries during the ir service years . N5 million was donated by Ibeto Group to one of the nine injured corpers who could not attend the event because of her injury. While Akwa Ibom State governor, Godwill Akpabio donated N5 million to the nine corpers, Heritage Bank donated N1.5 million to each of the nine corpers.

Notorious robber killed after 9-hour gun battle with security operatives in Ilorin .

A combined team of Air Force, Army and the Police have killed a notorious armed robber who has been terrorizing residents of Pakata in Ilorin, Kwara state. An army officer sustained severe injuries from the gun fight with the robber which lasted nine hours.  The security operatives, stalled vehicular movements while the main road around Government Girls Day Secondary School was closed to traffic as the security operatives engaged the hoodlum in the gun duel. Talented, Beautiful and award winning Ghanaian Actress,  Nadia Buari  Has just given birth to set of twins.  MyJoyOnline.com  reports. Speaking to  MyJoyOnline , the father of the Actress,  Alhaji Sidiku Buari  confirmed that she put to bed a set of twins. “It’s true. She brought forth twins alright, that is true.
