There is a hovering feeling of fear in Gombi, Adamawa State, because of the presence of over 30 bombs that were dumped in the area by the Nigerian Air Force. It is believed that the bombs which were dumped there three days ago had expired and are inactive, however, residents are apprehensive about its presence in their town. The area was initially surrounded by soldiers and vigilante members out of fear that the insurgents could take control and ownership of the bombs bbut they later pull out of the area after being informed that the bombs were inactive. However, indigenes of the community are not totally convinced that the bombs have expired, with many nursing the fear that they may go off any time.
