WAHALA !!!-Woman arrested after trying to sell PVCs in Kaduna.

A woman in her mid-40s was on Tuesday arrested by men of the  Nigeria Police Force while attempting to sell Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). She was arrested following an alarm raised by the women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of the Kabala ward in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The women leader of the ward Hajiya Hajara Mairiga told the police that the suspect, whose name could not be ascertained as at press time, came to her house Monday and told her that she has her PVC and some other people’s own for sale. Surprised by the disclosure, the woman leader raised the alarm and the attention of the police at the Kabala Costain was called to the matter and the suspected was arrested.
The case was thereafter transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police force where the suspect was detained for further investigation.
When the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Abubakar Zubairu was contacted on the subject matter, he confirmed it and said the woman suspect was in their custody and investigation on the matter was on going.
According to him, “the case with us is that the PDP woman leader of Kabala Costain is the complainan. What happened is that one woman came to her with PVC for sale and she raised alarm and called the police. The woman suspect was arrested and is presently in our custody and investigation is on-going” he stated.
The police however said if the suspect is found guilty upon investigation, she will be charged and prosecuted accordingly.
