Notorious robber killed after 9-hour gun battle with security operatives in Ilorin .

A combined team of Air Force, Army and the Police have killed a notorious armed robber who has been terrorizing residents of Pakata in Ilorin, Kwara state. An army officer sustained severe injuries from the gun fight with the robber which lasted nine hours. 

 The security operatives, stalled vehicular movements while the main road around Government Girls Day Secondary School was closed to traffic as the security operatives engaged the hoodlum in the gun duel.


 DailyPost reports that the suspect who is believed to be in his thirties and a Police Officer stays in an apartment with his aged mother and wife from where he does carry out his evil acts. According to an eyewitness, “In the ensuing crossfire, the suspect was said to have been gunned down, while an unidentified man of Nigeria Army among the security team sustained wound on his arm as a result of bullet fired at him by the suspect. “The area became tension soaked while the gun duel, which started around 2am of yesterday’s morning lasted till around 11am.”

Merry Xmas to y'all...
