Lauryn Hill disappoints, blames Nigerian organisers for her ‘No Show’ in Lagos

The long awaited Lauryn Hill show scheduled for May 1, 2015 has been rescheduled to an unknown date. According to Ms Hill, she did everything possible from her end to arrive in Nigeria for the show, the organizers however did not make adequatebooking arrangement. Ms Hill said she and her crew waited for hours at the airport to fly into Nigeria. She however said they are working to reschedule her visit to Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the organizers of May Day Live released a statement saying, “Due to Ms Lauryn Hill’s flight issues, the organizers of May Day Live and Ms Lauryn Hill management have concluded to postpone the show.

A new date will be communicated soon. All Tickets bought will be used for the new concert date. Meanwhile a party will still hold today at Eko Hotel starting from 7pm, feel free to come and party as no tickets are required. The organizers of May Day Live apologize for any inconvenience. “

Police Discovers 147 Bombs In Konduga.

The Borno State Police Command has revealed that it has uncovered a total of 147 bombs in Auno village in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State. Speaking to newsmen during a press conference in Maiduguri on Tuesday, the Borno State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Clement Adoda, said the bombs were uncovered at a location of about 27 kilometers from the Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. He said, “I am glad that at about 9am on Sunday, 147 unexploded cluster ordinances were recovered at about two kilometers away from Auno village, near Jakana, Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state.” Adoda added that a combined team of bomb disposal unit, policemen and troops, attached to Jakana general area, led by Capt. Daniel Yakubu, sighted the explosives, recovered and destroyed them in good time without injuries or damages to lives and property. The commissioner further explained that the state bomb disposal team had also recovered unexploded ordinance, suspected to have been launched
