Gunmen Invade INEC Office in Delta State,Can You Guess What They Stole???




Unknown gunmen have reportedly broken into the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Delta state.
The gunmen carted away 6,000 permanent voters cards (PVCs) and registers from the office located at Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state, Vanguard reports.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta Police Command, DSP Celestina Kalu said the stolen PVCs had been recovered.
She said: “The stolen PVCs have been recovered and a total of seven thousand three hundred and sixty five (7,365) were seen.”
According to her, three of the security guards, Aherebe Godday, Omajemite Justice and Oyubu Ejiro were arrested for interrogation.
Similarly, detectives in a follow-up investigation arrested one Lucky Aputu ’m’, aged 46yrs of Oji Aputu compound, Onyobulu inland market Road, Oghara and recovered one of the stolen INEC registers from him,” she added.
Celestina stated that the police had begun investigation into the matter and efforts are on to ensure that all those involved in the crime are brought to justice.
The PVCs have since been handed over to INEC.

Merry Xmas to y'all...
